2019 Mask Off in Support of Mental Health

We’re honoured to be performing two sets at the inauguaral Mask Off Guelph Event at Cutten Fields.

Enjoy an interactive evening at Cutten Fields to broaden our community's knowledge and understanding of what it is like to live life “under a mask” when living with mental illness. This black tie formal event, presented by Bird Elinesky Schuett Private Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities, will require you to be disguised under your mask of choice.

In collaboration with United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin, the event is raising funds throughout the night for their funded agencies: the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington, Mood Disorders Support Group, Torchlight Services and Family Counselling & Support Services for Guelph Wellington.

Hillside Inside

We’ll be part of Hillside Inside this year, and are playing at Market Square. Afterwards, we’ll also be singing as part of the a Capella group Feedback.

Update: this photo is from the show. Hillside Festival and the Downtown Guelph Business Association (DGBA) joined forces to bring artist Benoît Maubrey’s ARENA public art installation to Market Square. It is an interactive mobile sound sculpture built in the shape of a small amphitheatre. It uses 320 recycled loudspeakers and electronic pieces, functioning as a stage for small events and concerts and as a site for local participation and self-expression.

We’re excited to be performing at the VIP Champagne Reception in support of Hope House. Find out more about the event here.

HOPE House operates and advocates on the belief that poverty, food insecurity, inequality, health and community are all interconnected. We offer services and programs that challenge the stigmas surrounding poverty and allow our clients to maintain their dignity and choice, while simultaneously providing them with tactile skills developed in a community environment; it is not about a hand-out but rather offering people a hand-up, creating long-term skills that facilitate self-sufficiency.
